Around 100 people of all ages braved the cold weather to join in a Wassail here at Woodside Lodges. Wassail is a pagan ritual of blessing the trees to ward off evil spirits and to ask for a bumper harvest and was held in cooperation with The Big Apple Association. Morris Dancers kept everyone entertained before a torch lit procession around the trees and Cider Mill field.
